Myself and two other mums, are going to bournemouth on the train on the 16th august, we all have the day off work to take the kids.

We decided that we would all walk, run or cycle there (imaginary) the same distansce we would travel, by the time we go. The others email me every morning at work and let me know what distance they have done the night before , I do mine in the morning as that's the only way I do it. (takes me 38 mins to do 4K , or 57 mins to do 6K so like a fast walk, but burns 400 and 600 cal!!! respectivly!

Then I mail out a spreadsheet, we call it the Bournemouth Leader Board, and change the placings of 1,2 and 3 to suit who's in the lead. One lady is running and the other is cycling 19K in 25 mins while on exersize bike in front of east Enders with a snack in one hand and a glass of wine in the other, which can't be doing much, so she said she is going there and back for her target.

I works a threat as all of us are having to admit what we did or didn't do!

Well i completed the 104 K trip this morning, took about 5 weeks I think.
I actually beat the other mums, but about 40K! , who were running and cycling as I stuck at it, did it every day and snuck up on the like the Tortoise and the Hare! I can't stop and wait for them, so I have extended my distance and start walking back tomorow am! :shakehead: (so back to third place on the table and off again!) Should take me 16 days to complete I think

That sounds like fun but my god you have much more energy than I have!!! I'm knackered from walking around Whitby all day today and the steps up to the abbey ruined me!!! Good on you for doing it though x

Don't forget RosieM and Helen, I am only just pregnant, and not sporting a big bunp yet like you too , to carry around with me. I went to bed early this weekend and only managed a walk one out of three weekend days , so not good, keep falling asleep, Tri 1 bites back!
