I got a groupon today for fertility testing in London.

OH and I have decided to do it to supplement the ridiculously slow waits we've had. If it's 7 weeks for a sperm test who knows how long the next tests will be. We couldn't afford a grand for the pair, but £300 is within our range

If anyone else could benefit, the link's here

ETA that seems to take you to the front page, link is towards the bottom right[/URL]

I'd never heard of groupons before but it seems like a pretty handy site so thanks for the heads up :)

Hopefully the fertility tests will prove useful xx

We get loads on there, have even been on holiday on one of their deals

Whenever we want something expensive w wait till it's on groupon!

I know! They asked what cd I was on and said they ideally start afew days into the cycle. I'm cd 3 so they want to see me straight away!

That's great Egg :good:

You'll have to keep us informed - let us know how it goes! Did they say how long for the results?

Thats great news, do you know what tests you are having done ???

I know I'm having a consultation and an ultra sound. I guess a blood test as there was the emphasis on cycle day but no more than that.

Do you think they'll let me have a photo of my insides like you get of babies?

lol, maybe if you ask nicely :)

Just have your iPhone at the ready. I don't think she'll print you a photo out though.

Wooooohooooo! Im so pleased for ya :) i have really good feelings about us all this next few months xxxx

We had a great chat tonight about what we'll do depending on the outcomes of all this

If it comes out as needing specific treatment then we'll see where that takes us

But the real fear is what if it says nothing? What if everything comes back 'unexplained'? Well we've decided that if that happens we just get on with our lives. We're really young and we'll just go with the flow for a few years and get on with our lives, find some more adventures to have and let out happen when it happens

Easier to say than do I'm sure, but good to have the decision made

I'm pretty sure that regardless of what the scan implies the doctor will proceed the same.

These diagnostics are more trying to disregard issues than find issues if that makes sense :eh:

Lots of couples don't have anything wrong with them but still proceed onto assisted fertility. You only need to be ttc 2 years to qualify for IVF, for example.

I mean, if you want to carry on and just see how it goes then great, but don't feel like you have no options just because they can't find anything physically wrong :)

Thanks louise

I am pooing my pants with nerves today. I've never done anything private, always gone for the cheap option and I think that's scaring me more than anything right now. I know it's irrational and just a fear of the unknown, but I'm struggling to shake it

So glad I've got you guys, work can be such a lonely place when you've got something on your mind
