Hi ladies,

Just wondering if any of you have gone through similar and how long you waited before seeking help again.

We've been TTC since 2011 for number 2. My husband sperm was pretty much next to useless but over the last 2 years we've sought help and advice from our local fertility clinic.
In June this year we were told her sperm was back to normal due to lifestyle changes, food/ drink etc. and there wouldn't be any reason why we couldn't conceive and to go back in 6 months had we not got our BFP.
We got our BFP in July but due to unknown reasons (still awaiting post mortem results 10 weeks later) I miscarried at 14+3 weeks.

We DTD every day pretty much since MC bleeding stopped. My first AF was delayed and came on CD37 instead of it's normal 32. I'm now awaiting second AF after MC and on CD34 with no sign whatsoever of AF appearing. However I am worried DH's sperm hasn't kept up with it's healthiness and/or something is up with me...it's an avenue we haven't looked at yet.

My question is, have any of you been with fertility clinics, fallen PG then MC, and if so how long have you waited before going back to seek advice from specialists?

I really don't want to keep putting off contacting them (it takes ages for an appointment) and each month seems like its a waste of trying if something is still up.

I'm very sorry for your loss. If I were you I would ask them to check for polyps since they can cause a mc.

Hiya PP, we have had two mcs while being seen by the fertility clinic. Neither have affected the 'speed' of our appointments (other than a couple of tests got delayed as neither time I got my cycles back afterwards and I've needed a bleed inducing both times). My cycles were totally thrown out of whack after my first mc and it took a good 6 months before they got back to usual. This time I'm over two months on and have had to have a bleed induced so we can start clomid.

I don't see any harm in contacting them with your concerns, however I would guess they will say it can take a while for your body to recover and to give it 6 months.

Especially since yours was a late mc in my epu that qualifies you for a whole load of fertility tests and help etc do I would contact them. I've already got my fertility plan for my next pregnancy even before this mc had finished. (My circumstances are different though I can get pregnant relatively easy I just can't keep them)

So I had a call yesterday from the bereavement officer at the hospital. She told me the post mortem results were in and asked if I had a preference on what's days I could make an appointment to see consultant. I obviously said any and I'd organise work etc to get there.
So now just waiting for appointment to come through the post. Fingers crossed its before Christmas. I really feel in limbo at the moment, unsure of what to do next. I will certainly be asking for advice on next steps in fertility help for us. 4 years is really starting to take its toll on my mental state !!
