Ok, this is my situation. I'm breast feeding but had always said that eventually I'd express so that hubby could feed occasionally. But now I'm getting to that point where I said I would start, but I don't actually want to. I feel selfish for saying this, but it's like my special thing with boy. I love doing it. Am I being selfish? I know I prob should learn to express, just worried he won't take my breast. I want to do both bottle and breast.xx

Look you have plenty of time to express. Tyler's 8 weeks oh Friday and I'm only just starting to try and get him used to daddy feeding him. You take your time lovely, this time is so precious when they are little!

I don't think you are being selfish at all. Your baby is still brand new and your still getting breast feeding established. You have to do what makes you happy because then baby will be happy too. You'll know when to start because you'll just do it. Enjoy your baby hun and that closeness coz it goes really really fast xxxx

I just worry I guess.went to a baby group this morning and there was a breast feeding counsellor there. She said for me to try and introduce bottles earlier rather then later as a few of the mums in the group found there LOs wouldn't take it.

I can't see how old your lo is Hun coz I'm on my phone, but I got told to make sure breast feeding was fully established before introducing a bottle incase of nipple confusion.
Turns out now that my little man won't take a bottle, but i don't mind, I quite like it being 'our time' when he feeds and my OH doesn't mind either, he does bath times each night instead .)x

Joshua will be 6 weeks on Friday. I've had no issues with breast feeding and he also takes a dummy now with no problems. My only worry is he won't go back to breast. It's just so convenient!

I introduced a bottle of expressed milk at around 8 weeks, but only about twice a week. He rejected bottle at 11 weeks. Apparently to do both successfully you had to give a bottle at least every day, and I couldn't be araed with that much expressing! Looking back I'm so glad we did total breast. He only feeds 3-4 times a day now, and I miss it! :( x

I was desperate for her to take one so I could have a break and now that she will take one I hate it lol.....LO is 5 1/2 months and I LOVE bf.................OH gives her one bottle a day so he can have a go and also so LO stays used to bottle...but Im so not ready to give up BF yet.............you keep going as long as you like :) xx
