I'm sorry but I need to have a whinge.

I'm feeling so fed up with this pain. I've gone back to work on reduced hours but I can't cope, it's too painful. And it doesn't help when work collegues bitch about me cos I have to sit down a lot (I'm a nurse in ITU). I've come home in tears today, I've really had enough.

I'm about to ring up and say I'm sick for my shift tomorrow and then speak to my GP about getting signed off for the rest of my time there. I was due to leave in 3 weeks anyway because I've got loads of annual leave to take first.

Aww hun  Can't beleive the bitching part, how evil!! It's not your fault!!

I had to drag OH away from the Wii earlier to show him my thread on here about this and a few diagrams on other sites....I then got my dinner made for me!! :D

And you said in the other thread you've had it from 16weeks  Really hope the doctor and work sympathise with you tomorrow and you can get a good nights rest

Definitely go to doc. I've had i from early on also and kept getting fobbed off (see hideilu post). I sat crossed legged on the floor one day and from then I couldn't get up stairs. Went to dox next day and "told" them that I could no longer work (delivery driver, this is what caused it  ) and they didn't argue. Been signed off from 7 weeks.
It's much better now and only get little twinges. Night time is still painful but I'll survive :D .

o think we need an SPD support group!

I have found it easier now i have finished work cos i have nore contraol over what i choose to do for movement. So try and get signed off if you can

I also found getting on my gym ball helped as well.

I'm so sorry! I can relate because I have been having a lot of problems with it as well, but I luckily don't have to work on a ward anymore! I remember what it was like to be on ward with back pain (I had a bit of SPD problems even before pregnancy but not nearly as bad) and it was excruciating! The others are so ignorant for not being understanding, especially as nurses! Ignore them and get signed off- then see how they cope without you being there at all!

Totally sympathise with you hun, i am due to go back to work after a month off - 2 weeks leave and 2 weeks sick, it has made a big difference i am going to try and do 4 hours a day but i work a 7 day shift pattern so we shall see, luckily i only another 5 weeks at work so wont be feeling too guilty if i have to go sick again before

Mine started around 14 weeks but i didnt know what it was, i got down on the floor to fuss the dogs last night and it took me 10 mins of tears trying to get up!

I dont think its so bad if you can sit down at work, but i like you am up and down all day and by the end of a shift i can hardly walk to my car

Another sympathiser here

Had mine since around 10 or so weeks but luckily I started maternity leave today and am feeling much more relaxed just chilling out! Hope you manage to get signed off and how mean that your colleagues were bitching about you. People just don't realise how debilitating it is

Edit - because I meant debilitating not rehabilitating

Thanks,

I spoke to my GP this morning and he told me to Self-Cert from work this week and make an appointment at the surgery and he'd be happy to sign me off for the other 2 weeks.
