Hi all, this is a bit odd but went to see my DH's neice on Saturday as it was her birthday. DH's brother, sister, and sister in law were all there. But felt like they completely ignored me and didnt say one word. Funny thing is though is i know they will be like flies round poop when baby is born! Does anyone else have this at all?xx

No - because we live in another country away from them all! But I have in the past felt like a plum just sat there on my own when OH has not been able to make certain events!

I Just let them get on with it. I Have my own life & things to be getting on with to worry about socialising with his family! If they want to talk to me they know where we are. If not, then that's their problem!

We still go through it now even though we live across the water. Some of them still can't be bothered!

Sorry chick, havent experienced the same but didnt wanna read and run. Has this just recently happened? Tbh if it was me and it was bothering me Id mention it to DH. Least that way he cant mention it nicely to his family and see why they are doing it. Sometimes, people leave out others without even realising. But I def would say something xxx

oh i know how you feel as my OH family totally ignore me but want to have something to do with LO when it comes along!!!

im thinking that they can if they come to me but only if they are pleasent!!

I did mention it to him but he just said its prob becose they all have kids and spend a lot of time together with them all. Just feel sad about it all cos my only sister, her partner and my 6 yr old nephew moved 250miles away in March. I miss her and co so much! All my other family is still down here though.x

Not had it with the pregnancy but beforehand when I was told I wasn't able to have kids my own family never invited me anywhere. They all go on holiday together with their kids and never invited us, never invited us to my nephews or godchildrens birthday parties and most of the time never invited us out with my mum for Mother's Day. And this may sound harsh but if they think that now I am pregnant I am going to "be allowed back in" to the family they can get stuffed xxxxxxxxxxx

aww that sucks for you, my OH's family are lovely and include me in lots of stuff.
