She's feeding to establish your supply and to get comfort. She's very young and it's the one thing that gives her the most pleasure in the world. It's also way of exploring the world. Your boob is all she knows at the moment and it's brilliant! Just go with it. If you need to rest, lie down and feed. The way you position your arm will prevent you from rolling onto her if you drop off.
She is 3 weeks old. I do lay down and feed and position myself leaning more back then front and have dropped off but I always panic and shock myself awake. She only like it in mornings or if she good in the morning it's the afternoon/evening so it's not all day everyday but she is every so good at night I have to wake her for a feed. I think it's cause I'm really tired today it's getting to me more.
Also she doesn't really poo much can go a few days without a poo but are having lots of wet nappies tho. Is this normal?
I'm glad to hear its normal tho I've had no problems bf so I should be greatful. Thanks again ladies
My little boy is 4 weeks now and he has only ever pooed every 4-5 days but also get lots of wet nappies. Not sure if it's normal, I thought it was and my GP and HV don't mind but my MW says he should be pooing every day and it's a sign he isn't getting enough milk...
I think if baby is healthy and gaining weight then it's nothing to worry about x
She's still young and it's normal for babies that age to cluster feed. I believe most bf babies poo every day but some dont. My lo's pooing routine was always changing, ranging from 3/4 times a day to every couple of days. She went 10days once!! Xx
