We've been using the slow-flow newborn MAM bottles and teats for Connor for a good couple of weeks now.

He's taking about an hour to get the milk down him and I'm wondering if I should move onto the medium flow teats. He tends to fall asleep mid-feed and I wondered if this is because he's getting tired from the sucking from the slow flow?

On the flip side, my friend told me that at three weeks old if we move to faster flowing teats it could induce colic?

Any advice??

i did hun i moved to avent 2 teats and i think he feed much better, lets u know how u get on

Nathan was 5weeks early so he got too tired sucking from the slow flow teats (the mam ones) and the hv told me to use fast flow teats and he was fine with them. :)

I started Nathan on number 2 teats from the first day and he was fine. Hes a greedy boy and i don't think the slow flow would of been much use. I bought the slow flow for Aimee and changed her when she was about a week old.

yeah luke has size 2 teats from day 1 as he wasn't good at sucking. i find the variable teats quite useful so depending on his mood we can adjust the flow from 1 - 3. he seems fine on this, no windier than any other baby.
