fainting?

Glad you managed to have a good night out - i could just drink some cocktails, non-alcholic of course, but i would pretend :rotfl:

Also not sure being like me with this makes you normal, i'm far from normal lol

Make sure you take it easy today and yes hound them for results tomorrow, i should have asked how low my results were after my GTT, although it would mean nothing to me anyway. I'm making a conscious effort to eat little and often even when I don't feel like it x

hounding session for the last hourhas exhausted me! Ive spoken to antenatal clinic (ring back for results at 3pm) my midwife's mobile (turns out shes on annual leave) nhs direct (advised that I MUST see a midwife today, and dont drive and avoid stairs if home alone  ) and antenatal clinic again, (actually got through to a midwife but she just gave me a mobile number of my midwife's cover person) my midwife's cover woman (mobile switched on but no answer , left a text to call me back) :wall2::wall2::wall2:

I just dont wanna go to work tomorrow! :oooo:

Ooh i hope someone calls you back soon! Midwifes are useless sometimes arent they. I havent actually had to phone midwife for anything yet and i try and put anything off so i dont have to lol. x

:mad::mad::mad:

I got called back eventually by the midwife who was totally useless and just kind of said "oh dear, that happens sometimes when youre pregnant" so I tried to explain my concerns about blood sugars and not knowing whether to eat more sugar or less and she was bloomin clueless :wall2: so glad this person is not my named midwife! She basically said to wait til 3pm for my results as antenatal clinic have said and also ask if my full blood count results are in. She's booked me in for an extra antenatal clinic next week.

So Ive been waiting for 3pm :coffee: and just rang them with great anticipation......and I got "sorry theres noone available can you ring back in half an hour" :wall2: :shakehead:

Im getting furious with this now. I neeeeeed to get this sorted out. I think I will be going to work tomorrow, just occured to me to ring occupational health about it. Oh I dunno what to do :wall2::wall2::wall2::wall2:

Rage!!!

I just rang back and she tried to tell me to ring back in an hour. I know full well that most of them go home at half 4, and after this happened on friday and I have waited alll f*****ng weekend worrying about this, I expect to hear something today.

I explained that Ive been having dizziness and fainting and cant do anything about it until I get these results she properly sighed at me, I felt like saying "oh im so bloody sorry us pregnant women are getting in the way of your workload!" Anyway she took my name date of birth and contact number and said that she would try and ring me back. :wall2:

this is just causing so much stress, if they just tell me my tests were normal and iron levels are normal then I can relax about all this and think oh well, im pregnant, I fainted. But I keep imagining what if my blood sugars are messed up? Am I eating the right things or not? Should I eat more or less? I dont bloomin know!!!

Ive already researched the normal levels on google so I only want them to read the numbers to me and I can call my midwife. Who will be going home in 45 mins....grrrrr!

Thats not good enough!! Really poor!! Did you tell them how worried you were etc? I would be complaining about this once you get the answer you need x

tempted to tell them all to bugger off, and sort out my own home birth and buy a blood sugar monitor for at home as well as a blood pressure monitor and never go to that hospital again (despite working there.....hmm that might not work!)

:wall: Not good hun, hopefully they ring you back, if not ring them back and CRY :oooo:

Someone just phoned me back and told me my blood sugars were normal :yay:

I asked what the numbers actually were but she didnt know, just that they were normal. I told her about fainting and she recommended not upping calories but just spacing meals out throught the day.

My iron levels were 12 which is alright too. :yay:

God if I couldve been told this on friday I'dve had a much nicer weekend!!!

Thats great! You can stop worrying now, and make sure to eat regularly xxx

Wow what a day, a waste of a day off - poor you. I'm glad they are back normal, you need to keep an eye on how you're feeling though and the fainting. Don't go overdoing it at work tomorrow honey, you come first xx
