My mw came to see me at home this morning for bookin in. All was going well and then she pulled out the needle and requested my vein. Now I've had three tattoos and my ears, Tongue and navel pierced but and still I can't handle having blood taken. I was doing ok and after 5 tubes she finished without me feeling too bad. Suddenly I flushed cold and bam! fainted. Doh! I am now going to go for a nice lie down and wait for OH to come home (he took Summer to the park because we don't want her to know yet) so he can commence pampering me. Can not believe I fainted!

The rest of appt went well and together we decided not to go for early scan as it could create false hope (I mmc at 10 weeks but didn't find out til 12 week scan so a 8 week scan might show everything fine but then something might happen at 10 weeks again) so were gonna aim for a 10-11 week scan! I'm so lucky, my mw is lovely!!!!!

awww no go steady ((hugs)).... Lotsa TLC for you i thinks. As for the early scan and MC i THINK am not 101% but someone told me that once the heartbeat is seen on scan the chance of MC is reduced to less than 3%. I hope thats true...good luck and all the best xxx

Thank you x I'm pretty relaxed about it now x what will be will be! Looking forward to scan though and mw was soooo reassuring it really putmy mind at rest! OH back now, busy making lunch and looking after me!

Glad everything went ok except for the fainting bit, Good job you were in good hands at the time!

:hug:Make sure that your OH looks after you tonight :)

Oh no! You sound like me! I have to lie down to have blood taken else I almost always nearly faint

Definatly will do! He was horrified and gutted he wasn't there!

Hope you feel better now you had a rest, I hope you were on the sofa at the time?
Lovely that they could visit you at home too, much nicer than the surgery.
