Has anybody had any fainting spells during their first trimester?
the last couple of days on 2 occasions i have almost fainted.
The first time my legs were giving way and i couldnt walk in a straight line, and i only just managed to get to the toilet to sit down. It was horrible. At the time i was doing playground duty and was trying to get through a crowd of children so i wouldnt faint in the playground. I came over all hot and after a few minutes i felt better.
The second time wasnt as bad but came over with the same hot feeling like i was going too.
I think it was because i was hungry and by time i got to eat my sugar level had maybe got low. I only get 2 breaks at work so i cant keep coming outta class, but may have to ask my boss if i can.
Is it anything to worry about it has only happened 2 times and i dont feel like taht at home, cos at home i can eat when i want.
Thanks for any replies.x

I have yet to faint but have felt very dizzy on numerous occasions, with my last 3 pregnancys i fainted just the once with my second when i was in the third tri...just a case of geting up too quick off the sofa and i was out of it lol

i think also the fact i havent been sleeping well at all this week and the heating is all over the place at work. Some of the rooms are so baking hot, it makes me feel ill. :puke: Im getting hot flushes at work sometimes so when im in a hot environment it makes me have that fainting feeling.
Ive never been good with heat even before i was pregnant so i dont stand a chance really.lol

I walked into town today and a couple of times I had to stop and lean against a wall just to stop me from going over.
Something sugary seems to help me a bit though.
Hope you feel better though
xx

I've been getting that the last couple of days. I'll be doing something completely normal then bam, i feel like i'm going to pass out! Not good when i'm walking the dogs round the forest  It's perfectly normal tho, nothing to worry about hun. I think it's cos our bodies are working overtime at the mo and because our heart rate's increased it can make you giddy.

not fainted but had dizzy spells. think its coz pregnancy speeds up metabolism, meaning our blood sugar drops quicker, which is also responsible for nausea. take it easy and eat regular healthy snacks x
