We both have settled on a name for our second little girl, even though when i asked on here the majority didn't like it,

Temperance Rose

Our eldest dd is called Alice Olivia

I actually love the name so much now i have thought about it more DH said he isn't sure about the rose part but im sure he will agree after labour (last time after months of him been stubborn he was going to let me name her whatever i wanted)

Im so so pleased we are having a girl because i had Arthur picked out for a boy from about 10 week and a lass who is due a month after me has announced all over fb that she is calling her boy Arthur typical when i thought the name wasn't popular.

Anyway thought i would write it down because we are not telling people yet because i cant be bothered to hear what people say about it. x

For me it sounds long and weird but as I am a not a native English speaker obviously names sound completely different to me. I like the sound of rosé after temperance so I think those 2 together are lovely.
Once the baby is born nobody will dare to say they don't like it or complain so keep it a secret

Yeh it means moderation not to say she will live by it but they say the best things are in moderation lol. Then again Alice Olivia Means Noble Olive tree, so not a brilliant meaning,

It is a long name but im Rebecca and my Husband is Terrance so doesnt sound too long to us it sort of fits. Before i had Alice people used to sing 'Alice alice who the f**k is Alice' that really old song but people dont say it now she is here! i have learnt not to take peoples opinions personally we all like different names and it doesnt matter as long as we like it.

I really like it. I've had a bit of negatively about our chosen baby boys name, I've just stopped telling people. Once he's here no one will dare say anything bad. We love it an thats all that matters.
Infact when we didn't know the gender we actually discussed using Temperance. (Massive bones fans)

I like the show bones and that is where we got the idea we went through every tv show or book to come up with names, its so hard to come up with a name that isn't someone i know (or have known) and that people i know have for there children. Never heard Temperance though x

It's your name, and if you love it, then it's the one for you, my sons name Devon always gets mixed reviews too, family hated it, and people didn;t even say oh thats interesting, to sit on the polite fence instead of saying erghh or yayy, it just stopped the conversation, so rude...

I never will understand this 'kids will pick on them' with the names that are around today Temperance is normal and kids will always pick on who they want to pick on regardless of name, i was Speaky Becky and didnt wear glasses my friend Sarah was pie muncher... so nothing to do with her name at all and nastier than anything that goes with Sarah.
I make these Personalised Keyrings that are popular to put on the kids coats to tell them apart and some of the names i get to make are crazy, to the point im sure they have spelt it wrong lol,
I think im 99% sure on the name now but i was on Ruby until a little girl joined baby and toddler with that name and put me off.

It is unusual, but I really like it.

My husband (and me if I'm honest) love the name Delilah. It always makes me think of a strong woman. But everyone we told (before we were preggers) has just burst into a Tom Jones song. Plus, we're welsh, so unfortunately, they did put me off and now I wont consider it (much to hubbys dissapointment).
