Herbie has had it since he has been a few wks old, he has oilatom but it never gets better there give him hydrocortisone when it gets infected but only a tiny tube so as soon as I stop it comes back I know it's not a cream to use everyday but there must be more then can do,
He must of been seen by the doctor and mw about 15 times about it and they just blame it on different think teething weening etc.
Has anybody else had this and has more been done it's like that on every part of his body thankfully he only gets tiny bits on his face xxx

Joshua has it quite bad. We use oilatim with every bath and epaderm ointment 3-4 times a day. Its not a cream its a horrendously thick wax but has worked wonders. Either that or epaderm morn and nighjt with diprobase during the day!!!! X

Yea loads of ppl have told me epaderm is really good think I will go and ask for that, he has had diprobase and had a reaction to it he looked like he had been burnt so told to stop using it at once. Thanks for your help looks like another trip to the doctors

Tegan has Eczema quite badly she has oitum for her bath and zerobase cream morning and night If it gets really bad (when we try introducing dairy) we end up with a Steroid cream x

My daughter had this really bad , all over , only from 4 months tho, only started when food started.

The docs prescribed Tubygrip bandages for arms, legs and body , and you wet them in warm water, then cover her up in aqueos cream and then roll on the bandages over the top, two layers of that and then clothes. It keeps it all moist and the cream on nicely. she had different size ones for her body, and you cut out a hole for neck, so basically she looked like a mummy! She wore leggings so they were covered , and no dresses, and so she still prefers long sleves !! and no skirts , dresses!!

Good news she grew out of it at age 3/4 and only gets the odd bit now, but can't use lipbalms or hand sanisizers or lanolin stuff - don't know what caused it. They told us tok go on to goats milk and goats yogs at the time, which did really help

She could never have any thing made my Johnsons or baby oil, lanolin, etc as that made it worse.

Hope that helps, hope it gets better soon

We use oilatum, does nothing, diprobase, does nothing now trying him on a cream I actually bought to help his sister with chicken pox.
I have v mild eczema so Ive put some on and my skin feels v soft so far! Its by Aveeno, got it in boots, about 6 quid. Its for irritable , itchy skin and can treat eczema. It has oatmeal in, which is why I bought it as I heard oatmeal is really good for pox?

Sounds like my one cream tube with blue on it?- I got a large tube of this as a free sample when pregnant, and was using it as stretchmark cream, got no itchy belly this time and no new stretch marks (first time ever!). Then found out fro a mate that it's for excema too, and so my daughter uses it now when she gets itchy legs sometimes, so reaction and really absorbs well - totally forgot about this one! sorry, well done Leanne (Oh I used it instead of oil at baaby massage class too, perfect- as didn't want to use oil on Devon because of Briony)
