Expressing help!

Hi Ladies
Unfortunately my nipples have almost been sucked off by my LO hours of feeding and the midwife has advisedme to give them a bit of a rest and express some milk. I did one batch at lunch time which was 2oz in quantity. I was just wondering how much breast milk makes up a feed?

I had to express one breast as it was too painful when Ellie was that age. I was getting off between 2 and 3oz when I expressed. I only had to do it for a few days before it healed enough to let her latch on directly. So sounds exactly the right sort of amount.

That sounds about right hun for how old LO is hope they heal soon i know how painful it is but it will pass soon
