Expressed breast milk

How long can it be stored in the fridge? How long can it be frozen for? And how do you thaw.. Leave it at room temp or in fridge etc?

Also, what do you store it in when in the freezer or fridge?

My breastfeeding team lady came today and told me 6 hours on the work top, 5 days in the fridge and 6 months in the freezer. I've just been to get some milk storage bags which have measurements on the side plus a space to write the date/ time the milk was expressed so you know how old it is. Do you have a brestfeeding support service in your area? X
