Ok,my youngest son will b 4 next month and he's had a lot of contact with newborn babies but none of them have been breastfed. He's a v inquisitive child so I know that if I try and explain that baby won't have a bottle for a while after he's born he'l want to know y.
Wen we mention the baby I always ask if he's gonna help at bathtime and stuff but I never mention feeding or a bottle,I asked him the other day wot he will do wen baby cries and his reply was 'give him a bottle' :/ I don't know if to just leave it till he sees for himself wen bubs is born or try and introduce the idea to him now?
I wasn't bothered wiv my other kids but they'd had little to do wiv babies and my youngests behaviour and reactions can b a bit up and down.

Hope my rambling makes sense xxx

when i had my 3rd my 2nd was 4 and when i had my 5th my 4th was 4, they just seemed to accept that mummies boobs gave the baby milk, it was when my youngest asked to have a go freaked me out a bit, i said only a baby can do it, they suck in a special way and move their whole jaw, well i had my daughter coming at me moving her whole jaw up and down which looked really funny, i did let her taste the milk off my finger and she didn't like it. but they did find it fasinating and told their friends and asked their friends if their mummies had done the same some had and some hadn't. children at that age are pretty good and do accept things that you tell them, and will see it as normal.
