Are any of you guys doing any exercise? if so what you doing?

I went jogging last night for the first time in about 8 weeks. Was feeling so unfit I had to do something. It wasn't too bad, my back was a bitty sore and it felt a bit uncomfortable - oh and i needed the toilet about 5 minutes into it but I felt good afterwards. Don't know how long I will manage to keep it up though as I'm only going to get bigger. :lol:
 
I was a bit wary about running and aerobic exercise because I know you can strain things more easily when pregnant. Personally I've only been doing swimming - I try to go three times a week - as you can't really hurt yourself doing that! Definitely going to have to pick up on the exercise again post baby though to lose the weight x
 
I'm such a couch potato at the moment ! But I'm looking into pregnancy yoga,I haven't started yet as they recommend you're past 16 weeks,swimming sounds good too,lots of swimming pools have aquanatal classes too...
 
my exercise is walking lol now thats sons schools back will be out 2 a day and now back to work will be out and about and think il go swimming to shortly even 1 a week x
 
I go swimming 3 times a week too, i love it! Although sometimes at first its not comfortable and can feel insides stretch! I used to do kayaking which i miss xx
 
kayaking!! how ace. I've done that a couple of times, not done it in many years though, would love to do it again!

I did a lot of cycling before I got preggers, but I'm very good at falling off so had to stop that. Think I'm gonna start swimming too it seems to be best one to do.
 
Yeah it is ace, the first time i went over i thought that was the end! Haha. I like cycling, but not the road bikes where your feet are stuck to the pedals, i never click my feet out in time before im over. Yeah swimming is good, even though i havent got a proper bump im gonna look into the aquanatal classes, coz i just go to the general swimming at the mo xxx
 
Gotta say I have been a little lazy since getting pregnant.

I have been swimming a couple of times but thats about it.

Ordered 2 dvd's this week tho

Yoga in pregnancy and 10 min pilates for pregnancy....lets see if I will actually use them!!!

I don't know what excercise to do. I really, really hate swimming so that's out. Before I was pregnant I used to do gymnastics for my excercise which I love and really miss, people have suggested yoga but a) there is no pregnancy class near me and b) yoga teachers always tell me I am doing it wrong which is really common in gymnasts apparently as the gymnastics way of doing things is totally different to yoga.

I walk 3 miles to work and back every day but I think I should be doing something else, any suggestions?
 
Catty Walking 6 miles a day is good exercise hun! Walking is one of the recommend exercises.

I am not keep on swimming either tbh - I just went a few times to see if it would make me feel better for doing something lol

Not sure I would want to attend a Yoga class...I preffer doing things at home.
