everyone, hope you don't mind me popping in but I would lv your advice please.

My OH & I aren't officially trying until next month but I was a bit sneaky & we a few times around OV time , this weekend I'm going away for a hen weekend & I'm unsure whether to drink or not, & if not how I'm going to explain why I'm not. Today is CD23 & cycles are usually 32days so to early to test.

I was just wondering what I should do? I know it probably won't happen this month but also don't want to ruin any chance there might be by drinking

Last few months I've gone with the attitude that until you know for definet with a positive a little drink won't hurt!!

I didn't drink for the 1st 2mnths of trying but seemed stupid then when witch arrived x
Up to you - good excuse would be antibiotics if you decided not to drink but I would have a few and don't worry x

I'm really strict on the booze re ttc, but i actually tend to agree with Drummer that until you have a hint of a line then there is no point in missing out on a once in a lifetime event - such as a friends hen weekend.

If it was just a pointless piss up, then i'd say to just miss out

Just test before you go and just incase make sure you drink plenty of water

See I had this before and there ended up being a huge arguement, i can see peoples points that you should let your hair down and it will most definitely help you to relax and not stress about trying but I personally would probably try not to drink, pregnancy doesnt go well with alcohol let alone early pregnancy (sorry if that sounds a bit naggy).

But I've heard a lot of people say that when they drink a little they either get really drunk/tipsy very quickly or get quite sick when they normally wouldnt and it's a sign or pregnancy.

I dont see why a couple of drinks wouldnt hurt and I did similar when I tried for my daughter but anymore and I'd probably stop myself, but then again what would be the point in having just a couple, I dont know maybe that's binge drinking culture there, I think you need to do what you feel is best hun.

Can you say you are taking some meds that you cant drink with, or you've got to drive somewhere early in the morning, maybe your working (if you normally work weekends for example), otherwise pretend you're drinking, most soft drinks look like alcohol anyway x

We are going away on Friday & come back on Sunday - which will be CD28). We have a 3 course meal on Friday night & a 2 course meal with a glass of wine on the Saturday included I dont drink very often (only if we go out for a birthday ect) I guess I could have 1 & then have J2O but say its vodka & orange or something - knowing my luck someone will ask to try it

I was 4 days late last fri no line sil hen and I drank. Don't regret it at all as witch arrived. Think it's just a personal choice I don't condone drinking if knowingly pg but after 8 months of ttc it becomes easier to think sod it when opportunity arises (not like I drink if not going out anyway - or go out much lol) xxx

I was at a friends 21st the weekend before my bfp, actually found i got drunk a LOT quicker xx I wouldn't say don't have a drink, but maybe don't go overboard x

I'm T-Total, and what I find helps sometimes is to tell people your on antibiotics. You can't drink on antibiotics so people don't tend to push it.

If they push it tell them it's for a sinus infection. NOTHING is more boring to people than your sinus infection!

Hen weekend was fab I did have a drink I just thought after all I've been through in the last 5/6 months I need to let loose - so I did. I was on the dancefloor for 4hrs straight so was to busy to drink loads

Today is CD30 so is due on Saturday if she sticks to her usual 32days but I cant help keeping everything crossed that I am We are going out for Hen Night part2 on Friday but I'm not going to drink at this one.
