Hi,
Just wondered if anybody has won an esa appeal? My partner is currently on it but awaiting appeal response. We are on the 8th month and they said it would take 10. The doctor has said under no circumstances is she allowed to work, we also send monthly sick notes off. But not heard anything for a while.

Hi. We have just lost an appeal and its now goin to a tribunal as doc gas advised my partber nit fit to wrk. Have documents plus doctors letters due to.my partner having bad nerve damage and bwxause if this now has addiction to tramadol tablets n nw under a drug councillir. Its been a really.hard time for us and dnt seem to.be getting any help.n jyst fobbed off. Very strwssful and feel.like nobody believws us x

I think they try very hard to find excuses for you to work at the ESA appeals. to be honest there are ALOT of severely disabled people getting turned down.
It's such a shame. I know there are people who do take the mick, but there really are people who shouldn't be turned down for it. I hope appeal goes well. I think it can take up to a year before the appeal goes through.. & it would be a good idea to attend the tribunal x

We have stated on forms we are willing to attend tribunal. My partner has pleurisy, fluid in hip joints, anxiety, depression, carpul tunnel syndrome, asthma and no lining on lungs xx

my mum is on a Facebook group that offers advice from other disabled people. my mum says they turned down a woman with paralysed legs because she could use a wheelchair she could work. so sad how strict the rules are getting now. and the ones that are making it up always seem to slip by and get it. x

You are right redbear. There not doing it to the correct people at all. X

Yeah they say they don't go on what you can't do, it's what you can do. They turned down someone with Down's syndrome & heart problems before, such a shame.

My partners dr has just issued a new letter for dwp to state mot fit for wrk and a long list of reasons qhy. When he was working he couldnt concentrate or function properly beacause of aount of medication he is on. He went for an interview at dwp a.s took all his mwdical notes andmedication ( over 30 tablets a day), consists of pain killers, anti depressabts, nerve tablets .......ythy didnt want to look at them and after a 20 min interview was told nothing wrong with him. His addiction to pain killers has caused memtal health problems and ocd.he was suicidel which was very upsetting. The pregabilin tabletsfor his damaged nerves completly knocks him out as do anti depressants and pain killers. Ho canyou work in that state...my partner is so fed up because he was used to a largewage as he is anelectrical engineer.. Why would he want to be on benefits wen his wage qas tentimes greater. alot of ppl fiddling benefits and now gfenuine ppl get pumished gfor it ...... I hope u get further help xx
