i applied for incapacity benefit at the end of june/beginning of july. i then had to send more info and sick notes etc which they recieved soon after. a week later i rang them up to see how my claim was going. she said they recieved it but know one had looked at it....after 2weeks! then they sent a 20 page questionnare to me asking for more details on my illness, and they want a med4 form from my doctor. so i rang my doctor straight away and i cant get in until next thurs! its really pissed me off because we're skint and havent had any money come in since june

oh god hun thats awful have you tried phoning the cab to see if there's anything you can get in the meantime? possibly a grant, etc

My mum got her Med4 just by calling the doctors and asking if it could be done without her having to go in. Don't know if that helps luv! But you could give it a try!
