episiotimy - how soon can we have sex?

Right towards the end we couldn't have sex as I was too uncomfortable and well... he just couldn't bring what he needed to bring, to the table! 'like fucking a whale'

so I am VERY horny .... only 2 and a half weeks PP now but my stitches feel great, no bleeding or discomfort anymore. I think the main issue is actually inside my vagina, when I had a look its very red and looks a bit weird like everything has just dropped..... not nice tbh!

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with sex early on? I've been googling and lots of women waiting 3 months+ ...... I cannot wait that long.

I had episiotomy and we tried at 4 weeks and it was too soon for us even though my stitches were gone and healed etc etc...

It's now 7mo pp and things basically feel back to normal now but still tender in certain positions.

I think you can try anytime you want once the bleeding has stopped x

I would say try it, slowly, and see how it goes? And maybe you can still fool around even if full in sex isn't possible.
I want to try soon too, although it's after a section obv. I'll have diff issues as stretching or bending tummy is tricky! Xx

I had an episiotomy with ds and we dtd at around 4/5 weeks. I also discovered a rectocele prolapse though which looks like my insides are falling out a bit. If you feel ready go for it and be patient with each other, enjoy!

Ah ruth im in the same position! Im now 3 weeks 4 days pp and so horny but im actually terrified of trying to have sex. Im still slightly tender down there although my stitches have healed and just stopped bleeding. I think mentally i cant do it. Im too scared to even try slowly with plenty of lube! Have no idea how im going to overcome it. Let us know how you get on lol like if it hurt. Xx

Hey I had an episiotimy and we dtd 17days later lol. My stitches wern't sore it was inside felt a bit sorr but not too bad. Good luck. But start slow and gentle!! Xx

How long did you ladies bleed for? I havent looked down there since my episiotomy! I think ill be waiting a while before
We get jiggy with it!!! Plus i also think my oh is traumatised by the birth!ha cant wait for stitches heal tho and stop bleedingx

I'm still bleeding ever so lightly 12 days pp. it's almost nine existent and a very light brown (sorry if tmi!) my episiotomy came open a little but is now healing really nicely and isn't sore anymore! Whoop! Ill still be editing at least another 3 weeks cos there are a lot of layers that need to heal (beneath the surface) and I'm too scared! It also still feels quite odd down there after the ventouse, catheter etc!

Yeah ive read you can bleed for upto 6 weeks, mines not too heavy i was expecting it be much morex
