I had to go into the assessment unit on Thursday as I thought I was leaking fluid, I wasn't but had a scan to check water levels and they found that I have persistent elevated blood flow to my placenta and that baby isn't growing as well as he should be. I have a consultant scan tomorrow for in depth measurements and have been referred to fetal medicine. They told me they need to decide wether he would be better to come out and go into neonatal. I have done nothing but cry since Thursday, I feel like such a failure. Has anyone else had this?

I've not had this and know nothing about it but just wanted to send positive thoughts. How far along are you? I don't know if it helps at all, but I know a 10-year-old who was born at 24 weeks and apart from being small for her age, has no medical issues whatsoever. I hope you get some good news soon.

This should go without saying: none of this is your fault.

+1. These things happen unfortunately but the neonatal care nowadays is incredible. There are better than ever chances of premature birth without any sort of health issues.

Good luck with whatever happens!

I'm 32 weeks and they have assured me that apart from maybe needing a bit of help with his breathing he should be perfectly fine. He is only measuring a week behind at the minute so they are giving me weekly scans now to keep and eye on him. They even told me infront of hubby to take it easy so maybe something good will come of this, he may start doing his own pots lol. Feel alot better after seeing the consultant yesterday and getting to see little Mr

they will keep him snuggly in you until they absolutely don't think its a good idea to.

neonatal care is really quite incredible, keep us posted xx
