Hi girls

I was wondering if anyone is suffering from high blood presure?

Mine was check a week ago thursday and was high, so midwife check again this thursday and it was higher, now i have a midwife coming to mine tomorrow to check it at home and another check next thursday.

Some days I dont worry about it as I dont have swollen ankles (only when hot) no swollen hands, no headaches or vision problems.

but midwife said she is unsure why mine is high!!??

I had high BP with Amy but not Jack, I didn't have any of the other symptoms either but they checked me everyday and ended up inducing me because of it and as soon as i had Amy it went straight back to normal :D

It may be because of the weather or if you have been super active lately

thanks yvonne, nice to know what other people have the same and then healthy babies.

I am not too worried but midwife said it can affect the growth of baby and placenta!

but he is still very wiggly so wil just have to monitor that. xxxxxx

From what they told me is that high BP can mean the placenta isn't bringing the blood to the baby. but i think that is to be worried more about if you have the other symptoms as well.

Try not to worry, that can make your BP worse- easier said than done i know

HI,

I have been experiencing the same as you, having high blood pressure at my midwife check ups but no other symptoms (well slightly swollen hands and ankles but not that much really). I am getting it checked every week now so I know how you feel!

I'm really hoping it settles down and they don't have to do anything. I hope you bp comes down as well.

Just need to try and relax but I know it is easier said than done

Good news today, midwife did a home visit to see if it was any lower at home.... she didnt turn up till 4pm and I had had a sleep on the sofa and relaxed all day and my BP was 110/60 so she said it was fine.

I am going back on thursday to midwife at 12 and i will be popping out of work to get it checked so I am interested in what it will be then! xxxx
