Either no OV, or missed it

Hi all,

Just that really. Only the first month after coming off the Microgynon 30 pill and I've either missed ovulation or my body isn't back to normal. I was doing OPK's from day 9-ish for just about 10 days - but I missed 2 days with moving house.

Is there any point in continuing to use OPK's - or should I just wait until next month when I know how long my cycle is? I don't really mind either way as I'm not really expecting a BFP in the first few months.

Hi Hun. I just came off the pill too and from what I read on here everyone is different, some people ovulate straight away after b/c but others it takes a while. Were your periods regular before the pill? It's weird not knowing your cycles isn't it xxx

Its really up to you hun on the expense side of it I would wait until af shows up so you now how long your cycle is thenn plan from there. However If you have loads and buying them in bulk cheaply you could just continue taking them to see when you get a positive opk. Have you thought about monitoring your bbt? as if done every day correctly this can show you when you ov'd. Check out fertility friend . com if you haven't already. good luck fx xx

Hey hun just so you know, i came of the pill in march and the first time i OV was on thursday...this is my 5th cycle but i Ovd very close to the end of this cycle as AF is due tomz so i am still abit messed up even after 6months of being off the pill. Dont give up

Oooh, scratch that! I did another test a few hours ago - and there was definitely a line. Not quite as dark as the control line, but close enough!!! I guess OH is gonna get lucky tonight after all lol xx

Hiya Lou! What cycle day are you on? We BD'd again this morning in case I have ov'd late. Shall I get some opk's next month? Hubby doesn't want me too he wants to leave it to nature but it may help me xxx

It'll be day 18, so a bit late - but considering I only came off my pill on 15th July, better late than never I'd say!!!

I wasn't going to bother with OPK's at least for the first few months but I bought 30 off Ebay with 10 HPT's really cheap and thought why not have a go? It's nice knowing that you are ovulating, and there is a chance. I'm not going to let myself get obsessed with it - in that respect I'll let nature take its course, but at the same time we'd like to know we're BD'ing at the right time as well. xxx
