Hi Folks

Just a very quick question, my OH and I are trying and on Sunday she had a very quick short, stabbing pain where her ovaries are - it lasted less than a second and felt fine straight after. She mentioned that she picked something up suggesting that you do feel something when the egg is released - has anyone heard of this before?

Also, I've doubled my dosage of Zinc and Folic - there was nothing on the container about safe limits (surprising). Does anyone know if there is a safe limit with these vitamins?

Thanks in advance folks.

Can't say I know exactly where my ovaries are, but never heard of a pain like that when the egg is released. It sounds like a bad pain. Probably just a twinge and unrelated to preg?

Don't know about the effects of vitamins on these things. I prefer to get my vitamins from eating healthily

I get a pain when I am ovulating and am generally more away of it on my left side than my right side so don't tend to get it every month but its a very obvious pain where I am guessing my ovaries are! it only lasts for about a day and a half on and off and yes sometimes its a short stabbing pain other times its a constant dull ache. I am using persona and it definitely coincides with the times persona says I should be ovulating. Its nothing to worry about in fact its a good thing because you can tell when to do the deed. Sorry don't know about the tablets and how many you should take.

Thanks folks

I wasn't really worried about it, just hopeing that she was OV. BD last night so fingers crossed! :D

I've no idea about the zinc etc, but the name for ovulation pain mittelschmertz, which means miidle pain as it comes in the middle of a woman's cycle. If you seacrh that it will come up with lots more info if you really want it lol.
