Do any of your lo's have it or have grown out of it?

My little girl who is just over 3 months has it on her legs, nappy area, chest and arms and has a couple of patches on her cheeks . I am using Calomile lotion but it doesn't seem to be going.

Any advice would be great!

I think calamine lotion is quite drying on the skin, so I would suggest using aqueous cream, olive oil or Vaseline. I would say it's best not to bathe too frequently as the water can strip the moisture from the skin, and when bathing, you can add a bath oil like Oilatum.

i was also going to say ask dr for some oilatum as its pricey to buy, and use some thing oily on skin, i used baby balm by neals yard, its just like shea butter and olive oil and stuff and it really cleared up.

alana has really extreme excema on her face, was all pusy and scabby and the the steriod cream that dr gave us didnt make a difference but this balm was amazing.

Thankyou, Ive booked a doctors appt for Wednesday morning to ask for some oilatum and ordered some balm so hopefully it will help :)

My 3 year old had eczema, she still has it every so often but its got alot better, she had it really bad when she was a baby

ill try and find a pic of alana's excema, it was ozzing with puss at times, i felt awful for her. you could tell she was in agony

my daughter has it but only very very mild- its just on the fronts of her ankles and wrists- and u cant see it, u can only just feel it is dry. but i try to keep on top of it as my boyf (her daddy) had it bad as a kid so i worry hers could get out of hand. i get oilatum, cetraben and double-base all on scrip from our GP (so doesnt cost anything!) they do help a lot.
