if i was to send a parcel on ebay would it be cheaper to do it with a different courier to the post office lol if so which one?

A lot of the time I have found the Post Office the cheapest as you can send Parcels 1st Class, Second or by Parcel force (depending on weight). For example today I sent a parcel weighing 8kgs and it was £9.97 at the Post Office or £11.97 with the cheapest Courier I could find. If the parcel would have been HUUUGE I'd have paid a little bit more for convinience as you don't have to lumber the parcel to the Post Office as a Courier service collects it.
The cheapest courier service I have found is http://www.postvan.co.uk
I would be interested if you get any replies that suggest a cheaper service, I'm always looking to save money
