Sometimes like right now Thea sleeps for ages, she has been down since 12 and its 3.15pm now. Should i be waking her up for a feed before this?

The choice is yours. I personally aim to feed Ellie at 7:30, 10:30, 13:30, 16:30, 18:00, 19:30, and dreamfeed at 23:30. If Ellie is not awake (and hasn't already demanded that feed :) ) then I will wake her for these feeds (except the dreamfeed where I will feed her without waking her). Another school of thought says that they will wake and demand there feed when they want and need it. However I found Ellie would go 4 hours during the day for feeds in the first few weeks but then would suddenly need feeding after 2hrs every now and then and that would sometimes fall during the night so I fed her more often during the day to make sure she didn't end up need more frequent feeding during the night.

i never wake a baby to feed it but its personal choice.

When leorah was first born I was advised not to let her go 3 hours without a feed because she was early but now she's putting weight on fine i feed her when she wants and luckily this is around every 3 hours and then during the evening more often and then she sleeps up to 5 hours a time at night. I'm sure she's wake up if she was hungry unless she's a really sleepy baby. Go with your instincts Mel, you know your baby better than anyone

neither do i, if they are hungry they will wake :)

although when Dior was prem i had to waker her every 2 hours day and night for her feeds sooooo tiring

My HV said as long as baby is a good weight etc they can go about 4-5 hrs before u should wake them for a feed.
