Dtd starting from positive opk, in with a chance ?

Help ladies, my cycle is 24 days this time due to evening primrose oil, (normally 29 for donkeys years). My partner can't get to me until cd12 early March, last cycle I had a strong positive opk on cd12. So I want to know is there still a chance to get pregnant from dtd on the day of positive opk ?, thats hoping I don't get an even earlier opk !. xx

I know a positive opk doesn't mean that you ovulate on that day, its up to 36 hours after so surely I will still be in with a chance ? x

Im always puzzled about actual o moment myself. I only know that you have better chances 3 days before than 1 day after you have already ovulated.

Last cycle my partner decided to go on a bike ride with friends for 1-2 days, exactly the day I was O.
I made a big drama about this and he only went for a day, anyway after all that stress AF was one day early.
I realised then that it was not worth chasing this and its better to let it go naturally. x

I've googled it and apparently a positive opk is considered your most fertile time, ovulation is supposed to follow afterwards so I'm not out yet. I'm not taking epo this cycle so hopefully my cycles will go back to normal and I might get a later positive opk x

Definitely still in with a chance, the day before OV is the best day to conceive apparently. Thats the day I always like to try to cover (with many failings) xx

Thanks Lisey, so what I read was right then a positive opk is the best time to dtd. Phew, I just hope I don't get a positive opk before cd12 now, fingers crossed. Sorry about all the failings hun, never give up hope, I've been trying a year now xx

Its ok, its not so much a prob now but I turned into a crazy ttc lady and OH felt the pressure. All good now Good luck xx
