hi girls just wondering what age they are ment to start dropping their mid afternoon bottle?

Dylan has always been really good for asking for bottles and food etc but the last couple of days he hasn't been wanting his mid afternoon bottle. tbh if i offered it to him without him asking he probably would drink it but only cos he will have everything in sight.

nothing has changed food wise. but just thought as he wa BLW that it would be a bit longer that TW babies and he isnt getting all the nutrients from his food...

Do you think i should give it to him anyways even tho hes not asking for it of leave him to it as he probably knows better than i do :eh:

I'm wondering this too. Isla's still having her 3pm bottle at nearly 11 months old. I honestly thought she wouldn't still be having it at this stage as she has always been a bad milk drinker but at the moment she's taking between 4-5oz.

I think I'm just going to go with it though and see what happens over the next few weeks.

Id just go with whatever he wants Hun Tegan had given up all bottles other than the one before bed by about 9 months because she refused to drink the rest. milk is meant to be really important until there 1 xx

i just dont want him to not be getting enough as he is blw he relies on milk for nutrients iykwim

I just went by what marley was telling me iykwim. He only has 2 bottles a day, 1 in the morning and 1 at night..and has been like this for a good 2 months i wud say... But tbh i think he is ready to drop the night one. Just go with the flow if he doesnt seem to want the afternoon one try not giving it to him and see how u go on! Xxx

owen was a fully BLW baby and we dropped his bottle about 10 months in the pm, but I offered milk with snacks and lunch in a beaker (formula, then cows) as well as water incase he wanted more. maybe still offer it to him for another month or two, by then he'll be chomping a lot of food i guess?
xx
