My Lb will be 20 months old when new baby arrives and given that we regularly go out for the day, we'll be in need of a double pushchair.
We use the tube a lot.
Manoeuvrability is important as I show dogs and therefore frequently travel over lumpy bumpy grass.
Have a fairly large car so this isn't an issue.
Must have spinning front wheels as both oh and I have back issues.
I already have a mamas and papas 9 in 1 for little boy, so not needing a car seat part, but I do like babies to have freedom of carrycot before being tethered into a pushchair. I have been spoilt with my current carrycot as the internal dimensions are massive.
Can anyone suggest anything or give the pros and cons of certain models? I am completely in the dark here nd don't know where to begin. Budget isn't a massive issue but naturally, I don't want to spend an absolute fortune if I can get something comparable for £300/£400 less.

My son will be 19 months

Do you want side by side or tandem? Once you've decided that - then you can start looking

Two on my list for tandem ( so I can turn it back to single when older is walking ) are

Uppa baby vista 2015 model
City jogger select tandem

I am wondering about this too. I want tandem but I really don't like the ones that look like one baby is right on top of the other. I keep getting recommended the Phil and Ted double but I just hate how cramped the bottom seat looks; equally, I don't want one that looks like a bus and is about three metres long! Mummybexee are the two you've listed this kind of 'stacker' type or are they a bit more 'spaced out'? I will google them as soon as I can....

I'm not sure. Which would be easier things like the Tube? What are the benefits to each? It was hard enough deciding on a single model, but I feel like I know even less about a double.

God a tandem if your doing the tube! A bugaboo donkey forms instance is wider than a wheelchair so you'll struggle everywhere

I too don't like the Phil and teds as the infant is on the floor and you get no basket

I want one that parent faces aswell and can be fully adaptable etc

Balthazar on here works in a pram shop - she's clued up :)

I have the previous Uppababy and use the tube. As a single it's fine, as a double its fine once you're on the platform but you would need a strong pair of hands to get you up and down some steep staircases! Though I do think that would apply to most doubles. I do now pre-plan most of my journeys so that I get on and off stations with step free access from street level to platform level if I'm by myself. This method has worked but it does mean I need to walk to the tube stop further up the street and get off at a stop that's not as near to my destination.x

I don't live in London so don't have that problem but I think a tandem being narrow is far easier than a big side by side :)
