Just wondred if anyone can help me. I am due to go back to work on 29th december. I really dont want to go back to work as I want to spend all my time with my little one and watch him grow up. I would only be going back to do weekends as my OH works in the week and we would need someone to look after LO. So if I work weekends and he does the week then theres always someone to look after him.

I really really dont want to go back. I would only be earning just over £200 a month anyway by doing weekends.

I was just wondering if there was anything I could claim to help us get by. We get the family and working tak credits which is around £70 a week combined.

If not would I get any childcare vouchers or anything so I could go back to work full time if I had to?

My partner only earns £700 a month and £400 of it goes out on rent!

I should think you would get help with childcare costs hun. I have filled in the online thing and childcare element is awarded to me (just an estimate mind would have to check with them) and that is based on me and OH working full time. Although it does only cover a 1/3 of the childcare costs.

try www.entitledto.com with the details as it would stand if you didn't go back to work, and try calling the tax credit line, i fel you should get more tax credits than that - my OH earns around 1000 a month (sometimes a little less) and I am on maternity allowance (£117) a week and we are getting about £117 a week tax credits
