The past few days I've had a lot of swelling, I know fluid retention is normal at this stage due to fully grown baby stealing all the liquids.

However I've had a headache the past half hour. Nothing severe, I've taken two paracetamol and lying down now.

Worried I'm being over cautious but wondering if I should call mat assessment?

Have you had any blood pressure or protein issues before now?

I'd call and ask either way. One call won't hurt anything and they'll decide whether you need to be seen or not. Be prepared though that at gone 39 weeks they may just keep you in and induce you...

Is the headache being touched by the paracetamol? I'd keep an eye or ring just incase you need checking esp if last time u were at midwifes you had no swelling x

Would call them. They got me to come in with those symptoms and was reassured when they found wasn't re-eclampsia. They will just check your BP and pee for protein etc. is the headache that they won't like the sound of. Especially if paracetamol doesn't take it away. Is likely nothing but until you know you won't stop worrying! xx

Thanks guys, went for a sleep, just woke up. Rest and paracetamol seems to have helped, feel a little woozy but pain has died down. If it comes back ill take your advice and just ring them to see what they say!

I had protein in my sample last week and she made me pee again to send a sample to hospital for testing and never heard anything from it so must have been clear I assume!

I would ring to be on the safe side. They would rather you ring and get looked at than sit and worry. Hope you are ok x
