Hi girls. Hope this thread finds you all well?

As some of you may know, I came off the pill in march, I've had one propper period since, which took 49 days to arrive. So as on my 2nd cycle I've been doing opk's religiously and temping. Opk's have all been negative, some strong lines sometimes but not positive and not appearing to be acurate really (put it down to not a lot of routine fluid intake wise). And temps a bit all over the place but deffinately appear not to of ov'd yet. Then just now, been to loo and have brown discharge, don't get me wrong I'm not thinking it's implantation bleeding as don't think I've ov'd but if it's af rearing her ugly head then my cycles gone from 49 days to 31, which I'd be pleased about them getting shorter but not much good if I don't ov? Had no ewcm really either. Do I need to go to the doctors if I'm not ovulating or will she not see me seen as not been trying for a year or is there point waiting a year if not ov'd???? Sorry for rambling, just wanna know whether I ovulate or not. Any advice would be great, currently sat in bath with iPhone, candles lit and an ice cold pint of pear cider (classy bird me). Nothing like it to cheer u up when af arrives, I hope it's af and not ib if I'm drinking

hmmm tricky one hun, With your temping you will definately see the rise in temps after OV.
Maybe your system is still working to get rid of the effects from the pill?
If this is AF coming then its a really good sign to go from 49 days down to 31

Did you take temps at same time every day? Have you got your chart online? I can take a look if you want?

Thanky bonny. Yeah, 80 most mornings but sometimes if I woke up earlier I'd do them then cos of the 3hours sleep thing. Gave up doing them online as Internet went off my phone for a few day so couldn't fill it in, so did it on paper, will do it next cycle. How's things with you today? X

Emma I honestly havnt got a clue. I never paid enough attention at all before ttc and was on pill for 4 years

Hi Toni

I came off the pill in December and have been having very irregular periods too had one 53 days and the last 2 48 days have just found out i am ovulating as this month on day 34 had ewcm sore nipples etc so seems i am just having extra long cycles still.

you having a 31 day cycle in the second month sounds very promising to me and looks like your body is getting back to normal quickly

regarding the doctors i have been many times and they will say that it can take along time to come out of your system and what do you expect after your body not ovulating for 5 years bla bla bla dont think they understand how frustrating it is not to know whats going on when you are ttc. What you can ask for though is a blood test which can detect if you have ov and if so when.

Also a bit of good news a lady on hear also had a 50 day cycle the first month of coming off the pill and was pregnant the next!!

Sorry for the essay but hope it helps a bit.

Good luck toni, hope that your cycle is down to 31 days and then you have quicker cycles and less waiting about! Good luck this month x

Well I've had no more spotting what so ever, felt really faint today and bloated, also one boob has started ache-ing lol. Do you think it would be worth doing a test on say Saturday, a week from the spotting? Going away sat so wanna know whether to drink or not????
