Saw the midwife today for a routine appointment and I measured at 28 weeks although I'm practically 31 weeks!!

I came away feeling a bit down and confused to be honest. What do you think :(

should be fine hun, if they were concernced they would've done something about it try not to worry xx

I think that they baby may have been transverse or anything. Do not worry about that kind of measuring. It's prehistoric anyway. I'm sure the others will say the same....

Oh and if it is a bit small, it might not sting as much on the way out :D

Does transverse make a difference measurements wise then? The last scan I had, the baby was laying that way. :?

As far as the "sting" goes, no worries there, as I'm booked for a section lol :rotfl:

Yer it does make a difference which way baby lies ...breech babies usually measure over a few weeks ..like someone up there said its prehistoric..that fundal measuring is a load of poop...they dont even do it here this lil rock has its act together afterall.

I take it with a pinch of salt, our LO's will come when they are good and ready. My bessie mate's boy cane at 33 weeks and he is now 19 months old, fit as a fiddle, very intelligent, speaks 3 languages and you think I am kidding

I also have a friend who had her baby at.........wait for it...............46 weeks!!!!!! She refused an induction and wanted mother nature to take her course, her baby is fit as a fiddle and is now 3yrs old.

So no worries, as long as it's your boyfriend's/fiance/hubby's LO then don't panic

Babies go through growth spurts, so you may find you are measuring a week or so a head the next time. If there was something to worry about, I am sure they would have booked you in for a growth scan when you hit 31 weeks or would have told you further at that appointment you just had.

We all worry about the medical aspects and such but we forget about mother nature and being preggers is the most natural thing a human can experience, even when your LO won't remove HIS FOOT FROM YOUR RIBS!!!!!!!!!

Now, I'm off for a coffee, slept all day and I refuse to sleep till after desperate house wives :rotfl:
