i finish work at 8pm, normally im home at 8.30, but today i'd parked across town and i also decided to pop into sainsburys on my way home. as usual i was singing at the top of my voice to loud music in my car!

when i got home as i entered the hall my sister called on my mobile asking where i was, and my boyf came pelting down the stairs with the house phone (with my mum on it) asking where i'd been!

i was very surprised i'd caused such a fuss, because in the past ive gone out somewhere on impromptu and texted him, only to come home and find him playing computer games, his texts unread, and hadnt even noticed i wasnt there or what time it was. and when ive phoned him to say something really boring like "im going to sainsburys" he always used to say "oh, ok" as if hes thinking "wtf is she telling me that for?!"
it made me think maybe i am a little neurotic and we dont need to know each others minute-by-minute schedules- so recently ive tried to resist calling him if hes late home and tried not to worry myself to death if i cant get hold of him; and likewise i have not told him about stuff im doing thats boring (like going to sainsburys!)

anyway the poor thing had been so worried he'd been trying to call me (i couldnt hear my fone over the music) and he'd called my family and friends after me, and got them worried too! i was only an hour late
bless! i was quite bemused, and had to explain to everyone!
its lovely to feel so cared about tho!

apparently 'its different' now im pregnant- i cant just bugger about and not tell anyone what im doing or where im going. sorry its a long post, just thought id tell u all to keep ur loved ones informed, even if u think its dull and irrelevant information, so they dont all worry about u!

aw its nice to have people to worry about you tho... shows they care :D

Its good to see they noticed your absence.....DH is very much more protective since the pg though.

I didn't reply to a text for a few hours last night as we went out and I left my phone at home  which then prompted worried/ excited texts to DH to check everything was ok, as it was automatically assumed I was in labour (no such luck!! :shakehead: )

I was out yesterday morning and was about an hour late back.I'd phoned to tell him why I was running late got no answer so left message on answer machine , got home answer not checked he said oh I knew where you were LOL
so don't think my DH is gonna worry too much.

good to know your cared about
