Question for the mums: Did any of you fall in love with a name for your baby, give birth and thought nope you're not a Dave?

Me and OH have fallen in love with one name for our daughter to be - we have tons of boys names but just one girl - Eva

I love the name Eva and because both me and OH agreed on it immediately I will be gutted if she doesn't look like an Eva. Sorry I'm rambling

So, did this happen to anyone and also can you please give your opinion on the name. Any middle name suggestions would be appreciated too

My OH likes Xavier for a boy but I like Jacob - think I'll win that one.

I love Eva and Xavier and Jacob! Lol.

I have to say that with DD I named her after I'd seen her because I was afraid of this exact thing but we chose Sebastian's name at 24 weeks and it fitted him perfectly! We had Noah as a reserve name but he was and is most def a Sebastian!!!

Just all of a sudden I've become nervous that our Eva to be won't look like an Eva - I think I just need a few more name ideas but none are coming my way. Guess I have a long time before I panic lol

Eva is a lovely name I have a cousin called Dorothy Eva (Dorothy after our nan) - but since she was born, she's been Eva!

We had Jack's name picked out before our 12 week scan! It's suits him perfectly!

We had Freya picked out from the beginning pretty much but no boys names lol! Good job she was a girlie! It's weird though as I was worried she wouldn't look like a Freya but she kind of just did! Now it suits her and I can't imagine her being called anything else!

We had oliver picked but when he was born he was def not an oliver. Ashton was picked in the recovery bay Eva is gorgeous we had it as a girl name but we had it as eva-may xx

Other half had Layla the song on his phone when we found out I was expecting both loved the name but said no because every one will link name with song, decided on Mia or Everlin when she was born we said nope def a Layla lol

My sister had chosen Oliver for a boy when she had her 2nd thinking like her 1st he'd be fair skinned and a red head. however this beefy dark haired, dark eyed baby appeared and she took one look at him and said 'he's not an Oliver he's a Joshua'. However I know a lot of people who have chosen names and stuck to them.

As for boys names I love Jacob, that was on our list xxx

We had a name picked out long before she was born, and when she was first here I wasn't sure it suited her, but nothing else seemed to either, it was weird. She deffo suits it now though!
