I saw my GP a few months ago and had blood tests that were normal. DH has just had a SA and that is normal. I know we need to go back to the GP together but I wondered if anyone knows what happens now? Will they just refer us on to a fertilty clinic or can the GP arrange for me to have any other tests (for example a hysterosalpingogram)?

It will depend on your GP and the protocol your particular PCT follows.

In my experience I was referred to a specialist at my local hospital, who after my bloods came back relatively normal I was offered a Laporoscopy and was put on a waiting list (around 3 months) but I was pregnant before my appointment came through.
If you don't have a specialist dept at your local hospital and are eligible for NHS treatment, you msay be referred to a fertility clinic, but there are usually other options offered before this, such as fertility medications..i.e Clomid etc....

Yes I think the next step would be your GP will refer you - that was what happened to me. I went for our referral appt to discuss fertility etc as I had previous history. When I was there I told him that I had a funny period a couple of days before and he said 'my girl you are pregnant' and I tested two days later and I was. SO get your GP to refer you and you will probably fall pregnant!!

Thanks girls, that sounds like a good plan.
