Hi, this is embarrasing but i wondered if people could help please.

I have had spotting for a few weeks anyway which clears up now and again. And had a scan which confirms baby is still there and growing.
The problem i have now tho is that when i go to toilet and strain for #2  I start to bleed (front bottom to put it nicely) and get backache,

Is it possible to push the baby out lol might sound dull but is there any harm done when you strain?

I cant wait for the 2nd tri i can then finally start to relax

Thanks in advance for any advice
xxxxxx :D

do you have a water infection? i would go back to the dr.. and dont strain when ur doing a no 2.. just try and let it come by itself..

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. They did tests for an infection due to the bleeding but they all came back clear. I think it might be best for me to try and eat as much fruit as poss :?

I think it is quite common if you are a bit constipated- try drinking lots of water and upping your fibre and fruit intake

Don't worry - there is nothing I haven't seen on these threads! These girls are great!

I too experienced this a few times between about 5wks and 10wks. I made sure I had loads of fibre so I didn't need to work too hard. Weetabix every morning helped a lot!

I mentioned it to my midwife at 12wks. She said all the blood vessels are much closer to the surface so it's quite easy for the vessels around the cervix to bleed slightly.

Try not to worry and have a bowl of weetabix in the morning!

Thanks everyone

Now you mention it the idea of weetabix appeals to me. im not a brekki person apart from toast but i quite fancy weetabix now lol

Hope it sorts itself out soon
