I am 6 weeks and 3 days and for the last 5 days or so I have been feeling sick almost constantly so not only in the morning.. I never actually vomit which is strange but just this horrible feeling all day long.

Any ideas on how to make this better? Sometimes when I eat it gets better but not always! xx

Yep first pregnancy felt like that all the way through. I'm 11 weeks eith this one and feel sick pretty much constantly. I have no suggestions other than I feel for you! I'm on anti sickness but only coz I had hg last time so trying to prevent it this time. Some people find sucking on sweets help or eating every hour x

Mine isn't constant but over certain smells/conversations. I was on the bus and just kept sipping at my bottle of water which did help might be worth a try xxx

I'm 10+4 and I'm the same, constantly feeling sick...
It literally takes over my whole conscious self, and i can't do anything as it just keeps coming in waves....
Would be ok if I was actually sick, but other than watery bile, I'm not sick!

It's horrid isn't it! Try to keep yourself hydrated and nibble on food throughout the day. I find I feel sicker if I don't eat for a while and then I don't want to eat and feel worse.

Thanks ladies! I know Maud, I feel sick when I don't eat but then I don't feel like anything.. sometimes just thinking about certain foods make me feel sick! I constantly feel like salty food for some reason..

Kuku, I know! It builds up but nothing ever happens!

I guess it can be much worse so shouldn't complain :)

Hiya I'm new to this forum but just and across your post and I would like to say I totally sympathise with you. I'm 8 weeks today with for the past 3 weeks I've had terrible nausea. It got to a point where I ended up in A&E because I just couldn't keep food or drink down :-( every day I was waking up feeling just as bad as when I went to sleep. They put my on cyclizine and have been on them ever since. They aren't a problem solver but they do help a little. Although nothing quenches my thirst. I'm constantly thirsty and have increased saliva production. Like yourself, food just doesn't seem all that appealing anymore and you make yourself in order to feel a bit better. I never had this with my little girl so it's all new. It's horrible and you wonder when it is it going to end. I have heard though the more sick you are/feel the stronger the baby is :-) hang in there. And eat/drink what's right for you and what you can stomach :-) xx

Thanks! I do feel a little better today so trying to enjoy this except I must have slept in a bad position since I have bad neck pain and cant move my head!! x

I felt very nauseatious from 6 weeks was sick from 8-13 weeks daily. Now I'm sick usually 2 times a week roughly and im 16+5 hoping it completely stops soon. Xx

If that's what you want then you should eat it. I cost us a fortune during the worst of the nausea as I planned all these healthy low carb meals (based on what i wanted last pregnancy) and then didn't want them. All I wanted was high carb and high fat foods like pizza, enchiladas and beans on toast with cheese. Not a veggie in sight! Didn't help my waist line but it wasn't worth fighting my body over what it wanted to eat.

My sickness has ramped up a gear today and it's been awful.

How is everyone coping? xx

It's horrible isn't it Mel I somehow forgot that last time was so bad!! It's different this time as I'm getting night time sickness which I never got first time so when I want to go to sleep I start puking it's not fun. Hope it eases a bit for u xx

I'm only 5 weeks today, a lot if people says it's quite early.

Are you actually being sick? Hope it eases soon for you Hun xx

Yer it is early hope it doesn't get worse yer I'm sick every morning and night but better than all day like I had with my daughter! It's really misleading when they say morning sickness!

Eat small bits throughout the day! I did vomit all the way throughout, speak to your midwife if it doesn't get better

I'm suffering too.

Not actually vomiting, but constantly feeling sick, and it's worse as the day goes on.
The only thing that helps is eating (but then as soon as I finish I feel sick and bloated, even if I don't eat much), or drinking cola or sucking lollipops. Which is frustrating because I NEVER drink soda or have sweets normally, but it's the only thing I can think of to try to provide some relief from constantly feeling like I need to throw up :(
I have extra saliva atm too and that makes me feel really sick.

Cannot wait til 12 weeks, really hoping it's better by then.

I've had to move in with my mum this weekend as I've been feeling so terrible think mine passed about 14 weeks with dd

Seems like a lot of us are suffering! I feel sick and also have a very vad stomach having to run to the toilet often. How are you all coping with work? Have been alright so far but seems to be getting a little worse.. Dont want to have an accident on the tube to work!!

Ah ladies, it sounds like you are really suffering, I'm sorry :-(
Luckily I am doing ok so far, I have a bit of nausea towards the evening but nothing I can't handle, although I think this has really been helped by being off work since Wednesday and being able to sleep and graze constantly, I'm not sure how I'm going to find it when I return to work tomorrow.
I did pick up some Ricola lemonmint sugar free sweets from Morrisons yesterday, which really seem to help xx

I'm 9 weeks and have had pretty bad nausea 2 weeks now. Worse towards end of the day and worse at weekends when I'm not busy with work. It's horrid! Eating helps but it's so short lived-usually I end up going for a nap it's so bad!
