Hello,

well af got me today

I made the decison (yes a little nudge from you guys) to book an appointment to see my doctor!

Well the earlist appointment i could get was next Monday 30 April after work!

So my question what should i be saying/asking or not saying/asking to the doctor. I know i have to explain all what we have been doing - i just wondered if there is anything i should be asking or raising?

Thanks of any help

xx

What you definitely do NOT want to say is that you have used the internet for advice or research as they'll immediately think that you are an irrational hypochondriac :oooo:

Just play it cool and tell them where you are upto and why you are concerned :)

If they don't seem keen to help you, then you drop in that you've read the Nhs guidelines and know what you are entitled and if they try to play down your symptoms you can start discussing what you know about it but don't threaten their "authority" because they can get really defensive.

Just remember that a GP writes prescriptions for a broad range of common complaints and is by no means a specialist in anything so don't let them talk you down xx

ooo i have JUST done this today! and i feel miles better lol x

i just started off with my 21 day bloods, 1st one is on friday! good luck sweety there are thousands of questions but my doc said just write it all down and she will come to them when relevant lol

I'm also going to book to see my gp in the next few days.... I'm super scared! Good luck girls x

haha as louise says, i said "google" and she looked at me like i was a nutjob.

Thank you for the responses I will make sure no internet talk!

I am so nervous but need to get things moving plus hubby being supportive and will do what ever I tell him too!

Good luck poppy we can touch base after our appointments!

xx

Make sure you take a list of ur cycle length and dates etc so you don't get confused xx

Most gps are understanding and will start with cd3 &21 bloods before moving onto sperm analysis and tests for you x

Fx for you and well done for making that 1st scary step for help :)
