Do you have to make a Doc appt?

Hi All

Im pregnant yay! According to my dates I think Im around 6 weeks due end of May. It's my second child so now the drill lol. However I was wondering do you have to make an appt to see your GP? as with my little girl I made an appt but it was a waste of time really asked me a few questions and that was it, but did say they would refer to Midwife who would be in contact SOOOO I was wondering do I just ring Midwife direct or do I need to make a GP appt?

Congratulations!!! Give your GP a call and speak to the receptionist, they'll let you know which is your best option.

No you don't I'm on my second just said to reception is there any point she then booked me with mw.

Congrats!! This is my first baby and the GP didn't want to see me, the receptionist just referred me straight to the midwife at 8 weeks. She said in fairness the tests you can do at home now are as accurate as the ones they have so no point in doing the same thing again!!

Congratulations! . I too am due at the end of May too! (25/28th still waiting on confirmation ), im still waiting for my first appointment as i found out pretty late into my pregnancy that i actually was pregnant (found out at 5 weeks), another 4 days and i shall be off to the doctors

As the other ladies have said, speak to the receptionist and go from there
