Do you give your 1 year old the same food as you?

Dior eats most things.

she eats adult food. but we never eat all together so wouldnt ay she eats what i do. but i have given her normal gravy for ages Hrley has it now too

but Dior does have the normal pizza pasta chips nuggets fish fingers beans she has done since she was 1.

bu i love salt and add it to every thing i eat even sandwiches lol so me and Dior never share my food

I have found this info on salt RDA etc and is very informative.

Basically 1 - 3 year olds are recommended to have max 2g of salt per day which equates to 0.8g of sodium.

This site has a handy salt calculator too :D

EDIT: Sorry Little Bump I forgot to put the web addy in my message (good job my head is screwed on! ) Here it is:

http://www.salt.gov.uk/babies_and_children.shtml

The site does give info on Adult RDA too.

Hi Beany

Sounds excellent - what's the web address?

Does it say how much salt adults are supposed to have? It would be great to be armed with some statistics to throw back at MIL next time she tells me I'm being neurotic!

LBx

EDIT - thanks - have had a look - that's a really useful site. I'm going to have a play tomorrow and type in the amount of sodium in a bag of crisps - may stop me eating them (one can only hope!!)
