I'm almost 26 weeks now, but today I've had a particularly bad day. The last fee days I've been really poorly with viral tonsillitis and today I've felt a little more human, so I went along to DD sports day at nursery. By this afternoon I have been having weird pain in my pelvis and groin. I've also started having BH too. I am so uncomfortable, the pressure in my pelvis mainly in my back and groin is almost constant and I am struggling to walk. I've been resting most of the afternoon and it's still there. I've had a bath too which was helpful whilst in but I was uncomfortable as soon as I got out. It kinda feels like baby has had a growth spurt this last few days and it could be ligament pain but it's quite persistent. Now with the BH I'm worrying a little :(

Hubby is working late tonight as something has kicked off at work so haven't had a chance to tell him really. Just scared in case i call the hosp and they want me to go up.

My groin is agony when I try and walk and I sort of hunch over as I feel really heavy.

Been getting some twinges up my foof too, usually a sudden sharp pain when I change position.

Do you think i need to call triage?

I would hun, to be on the safe side. It's probably nothing, so even if it's to put your mind at rest  x

Do you know, I've just read the symptoms of SPD and it's exactly as it's described. The pain spreads from my groin down the inside of my thighs like it describes. Ouchy!!

I think you should give them a call for peace of mind

Oh well maybe bubs has put on some weight then and it's caused it to happen :eh: x

This is exactly how my spd felt with my first pregnancy, so probably it is just that. But like the others have said, I would still get seen in triage just for peace of mind. And maybe they can refer you to a physio as well - didn't happen in my case because in those days spd was not taken as seriously as it is now, but I have heard that it can be really helpful.

Well I kept an eye on it last night an I think it's either SPD or PGP (Pelvic Girdle Pain). The symptoms are exactly as described, still in pain this morning but not as bad as last night. I'm seeing midwife on Tuesday so I'll speak to her when I see her, can't really do anything until then. Got my 26 week growth scan tomorrow morning so at least I get to see bubs and put mind at rest.

I'm walking all hunched over and my groin bloody kills! I never had this in my previous 2 pregnancies although I had some signs of it with my last one but it always subsided after rest. I read that once you have a baby weighing 3000g or more you have more chance of this. My daughter was 3620g so that probably why I'm suffering and I only had my son 2 and a half months by CS before falling pregnant again. No doubt it will get worse but already I'm finding everyday activities difficult. Getting dressed bloody hurts! :(
