Dizzy, tired sensation at feeding time

I just wondered if anyone got the same sensation whilst breastfeeding? It's like I'm extremely tired, and dizzy, and I feel zombie-like almost sometimes, its very odd. The MW did tell me breastfeeding releases a sleep inducing hormone, but I've never heard of breastfeeding actually trying to make you sleep so strongly whilst feeding, anyone else experienced this and found something to combat it other than lots of water, not that that seems to fully illeviate it hehe

no but maybe have a cup of tea or coffee...I certainly did for night feeds in the early days they kept we going

Yes I feel tierd sometimes when I feed.

Remember you will still be exhausted from the birth so that may be one of the reasons you feel ery tierd.

When your baby naps, you should too hun

Thankyou It's just an odd sensation, it's amazing how effected you can feel whilst breastfeeding isn't it. I do try to sleep when I can, but I guess I'm not into any sort of 'routine' of sleeping well just yet, but have been bringing Isaac into bed with us at night feeds, and some day feeds, and I've slept then which has been bonus sleep so I'm trying heehee
