Hey everyone, hope your all doing ok (bumps too!)
I am approaching my 18th week of pregnancy and was just wondering if it is normal to be getting a lot of dizzy spells. I get them every other day, and i feel like i'm going to pass out, everything goes dark and voices are muffled and i feel as if i'm going to be sick, this is exactly what happened when i passed out before at around 7 weeks pregnant but i actually fell to the floor and was out for about a minute. when it happens i manage to find somewhere to sit down but it can sometimes take a while for it to pass and i don't feel myself afterwards. It happened again today whilst i was in town and i had to sit on the floor outside a shop, i must of looked like i was drunk
Have any of you girls had this before?

Yeh I think its quite normal around the time you are. You just have to take it a bit easier and don't get up too fast and things. If you find its getting really bad then I would just mention it too your midwife or doctor especially because you have had it earlyer in your pregnancy. :)

I would definitely mention it at your next appointment, perhaps it is your body's way of telling you to slow down a bit :D

Hope you feel better soon

I fainted last week and had to call the midwife out. she gave me some iron and reminded me to eat regularly (been forgetting) i am felling like i'm drunk, dizzy and sick . Could it be that yoursugar levels are down?

thankyou for your advice girls.
Riot grrrl - never actually thought about it being my sugar levels, thats a good point. more sweets for me then!

im a bit wooozy after baths n bloods bt otherwise im k, maybe once in a whiles normal but doesnt sounds right to be happening all the time, yeah travel with sweeties and next time it happens have a gobble n see if ya feel better, best to mention it anyways tho, had ur bloods done yet ?

yeah i had about 4 blood tests done and they all came back fine but i am going to see if i can get an appointment with the doctor or midwife tomorrow

I have had this a couple of times but not as bad.

OH also has it at the moment and was hoping it would pass but been almost a week so he went to docs and turns out its a viral infection. Doc has given him some tablets and have made him feel better today so will definately get it looked at, especially if you drive

Make sure to have your blood pressure checked. I think low BP can cause dizziness. Hope it gets better for you soon!
