hellooooo!!

Just wondering how common the dizziness and faintness is with everyone here. I have been giddy for about 3 weeks now on and off everyday but today was the worst by far. I nearly fainted today whilst sat down!!!
Midwife tested me 2 weeks ago for anaemia and also my blood pressure, but both fine. Its just getting me down a bit as no matter what I try I constantly feel giddy and Ive another 8 weeks to go yet!!!

 i would see ur GP to be on safe side esp if bp and iron levels fine. i have spells on and off the other night i was sitting down and everything whent really distant and felt like i was going to black out. had nothing since, but aware my iron levels were low at 28 m/w appt.

I prob will end up going to docs, just not good getting myself there!! My friend was trying to get me to go today but I refused. Have to stop being stubborn!!! :)

You should probably go and see him. I have been dizzy since christmas. I have anaemia, but even with iron tablets I am still getting it so I have been referred to an obstetric cardiologist next week. I am sure everything is fine, but it is good to get checked out.
You should too, just to be sure. Hope you're ok

And me!

Bloody horrible is this especially as it strikes without warning whether you're sitting or standing or whatever. I even sometimes get it when lying down.

Oh well, not long to go... :cheer:

I am on Spatone which is natural extra iron - it seems to be making a small difference so might be worth a try as you can get it free on prescription?

i just posted about a sort of similar thing! (an incident i had today) I fainted 3 times in a row sitting down! Was horrible!
I do have low bp and am being tested for iron levels.

Do you know what your bp has been recently? Is it on your notes?
What i find is that going to the docs makes me nervous and therefore raises my bp - so it's lower in normal life than when it's checked - if that makes sense!! At least that's how i see it!

I know how awful it feels. Best advice is to lie down, try and keep your feet up and jus tnot to move much until you feel a bit better.

You have my sympathy!

Thanks Babybee, ditto to you too!!

Just checked my notes and my bp has been fairly consistent throughout:

120/60
134/69
118/64
120/58
118/60
118/62

I dont know what would be classed as particularly low but midwife seemed to think bp had nothing to do with it, what do you think?? I also has protein in my urine and should get results back from that on friday.

Your BP looks good :)

Many women become faint in pregnancy (I've read anyways) its not always connected to iron etc.

Talk to your MW or GP, try to increase your fliud intake if its lower, also maybe tuck into a few foods that have higher iron content and so on and see if you can give yourself a boost via your diet. Sometimes changing what you are eating can help.

Cheers Sherlock!!

Im finding it hard to eat anything much at present as Ive started vomitting again, had tuna salad today which stayed put so hopefully will help!!
