Distressed crying for a few seconds?

Noah has been quite unsettled today, and tonight (in the last hour) he's been layed down but keeps settling for a few minutes, then waking up and crying. It sounds quite distressed and whingey rather then a full blown crying sound. He does it, then stops, closes his eyes and lays still, then does it again.

Not sure what's causing it. He had some calpol over half hour ago but it hasn't helped.

Has he got trapped wind? Them type of pains tend to come and go in waves. X
