Was supposed to have my dating scan tomorrow but they rang earlier to cancel due to staff sickness

Was really looking forward to it, mum had arranged her hours so she could come down aswell and look after Ella if she got grumpy.

Will get another appointment soon but was all built up for tomorrow.

How awful, its not your fault they are sick. That would really p**s me off, i understand your excitement, i keen to get the post every morning waiting to see if the letter has arrived with the date of my scan on it!!

ooo I would be mad. I would have demanded a scan for the next day or something, I would have made them make me an appointment on the phone and not wait for a letter by post again............then again I can be a stroppy cow at times to get what I want

Yup, they like to do it between 12 and 14 weeks.

They called earlier when I was out to try and rearranged hopefully for next Thursday, so not too long away. I suppose at least bub will be a bit more developed so I'll see more armies and leggies!

That would really p*ss me off too! I hated having to wait for mine and mine wasn't cancelled and rebooked!

I really hope you don't see many more armies & leggies, as baby really should just have 2 of each

Got my new appointment, next Thursday at 3.20pm. At least bub will be 12 weeks then (though they think going by my dates I will be 13weeks 4days, but that private scan showed differently).

It will so be worth the wait though and as you said you are going to see something then..my scan was just like a blob..and OH thinks I'm growing a sausage!

That's so disappointing but as you say there is a bright side to it, you're baby will be bigger so more to see.
