Hi ladies

Been on phone to NHS Direct, full of cold, but having problems breathing, i can only take shallow breaths, deep ones hurt and dont even mention coughing.
They have advised I should go to the doctors or just ring 999? Advice please

Id ring the GP first and speak to them they would advice you on your next best step to take. I get similar to this with my asthma and its not nice. I hope you find out what's wrong hun.

xxxxxxx

Hope you have rung your GP and are getting seen now  don't forget bubs is restricting your lungs and your diaphram can only work to 30% efficiency whilst in 3rd tri so having a cold on top of that is going to make it hard to breathe.

Feel better soon

I had the flu before Xmas and developed asthma with it, I got very frightened with it so I can totally understand. My flow rate was very low but as soon as I got the inhalers it improved. I would go to your GP if I were you- ask for an emergency appointment and if not A & E. My asthma has mostly gone again now that my cold has, try not to panic
